Based on SEABORG 300J, TOUGH LIGHT MONSTER achieves even higher durability. Equipped with a MAGMAX-G motor (guaranteed for 3 years) at its heart, achieving four times the durability of the base. The highly durable brush motor produces a responsive rotation feeling and power. In terms of operability, it is equipped with a motor ON/OFF interlocking clutch. ■JOG POWER LEVER
The new Seaborg Jog Power Lever system is designed for standup fishing techniques. With the standing fight concept in mind, the Jog Lever will allow an immediate response to wind the line. When standing with the rod/reel outfit in your right hand the lever can be controlled with your left thumb. Alternatively when using your left hand to hold the outfit, pinching the lever with your right hand will allow you to control the machine easily. This easy to use function will allow you to continuously lead the fight against your target.
■MAGSEALED BALL BEARING
Daiwa’s ultimate technology – Magsealed Ball Bearing prevents water and dust intrusion inside the ball bearing which greatly reduces reel corrosion and noise. Applied to the spool shaft surrounding, a place where salt and dust intrusion is most likely to happen and maintenance is difficult. This will improve the long-term durability and the smoothness.
■ ATD [automatic drag system]
ATD gives you the power and poise to take control of whatever crosses your angling path. ATD is a combination of seven large carbon washers and improved drag grease. The new grease exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag startup. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia. When combined with the structural changes to the ATD Drag washers, results in a smoother stronger drag from the initial hook up, allowing you to concentrate on the fight. This tough drag function will adjust according to the pulling of fish.
■ FF structure
By placing the motor, which should be called the engine of the electric reel, in front of the spool, the reel is designed to have a low profile, and the front motor structure makes it easy to hold and use the reel. In addition, a level wind was placed between the motor and the spool to enable a more compact design.
■FALL BRAKE DIAL
Brake system which can set fall speed instantly. It is possible to control from spool free to brake MAX in 180 degree range with one thumb. In addition to preventing backlash, you can also improve the bait attachment by dropping it without thumbing with your fingers, catch the touch of the reaction in the middle layer during squid fishing, and catch the bite of the falling fish during jigging.
■Dot Screen Display

The Seaborg’s LCD screen displays large letters/numbers and uses a dotted LCD screen to make it easier for anglers to see the display. Daiwa’s electric reel is compatible with direct current (DC) 12V. It cannot be used with non-designated power sources, such as 100V AC for home use and 24V DC for ships. In addition, the voltage of the ship’s power supply is likely to be unstable due to the generator and wiring, and the protection circuit of the reel may be activated and the rotation may stop or become intermittent.
